The 33rd annual 10K race in Woodstock CT will be held on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, 2013. Patrick Smith and I are sponsoring prizes in memory of our spouses, Doug and Claudia, who were both Woodstock residents.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners of any age.

• 1st place male and female finisher: $125 prize
• 2nd place male and female finisher: $75 prize
  
• 3rd place male and female finisher: $50 prize
  
• First Woodstock male and female resident to finish: $50 prize

My husband Doug ran this race every year, and it was the last race he ran. The course is one of the most beautifully scenic runs in the area. It is also very challenging. Doug was a mountaineer, but his goal was to run (not crawl) up Child Hill at the end of the course.
