MY MOUNTAINEER

My Mountaineer
- by Bet

He nimbly scales the crags and cracks
And scrambles on the scree
To test the strength he has or lacks
And stop atop a mountain, free
Then when the climbing day is done
He safely comes back home to me.

My mountaineer.

I wrote this little poem for Doug in a poetry class I took at QVCC. Doug's father, Larry, was the teacher. It was fun, but I think I flunked.
